He had his orders. He was to patrol the demonic sections of ronin to ensure that none of the demons would get the idea to start anything with the humans. He smirked as he made his way from the angelic samurai base of operations to head towards the area for demons.
The demons were a wild bunch. If not for them, the world would be much more peaceful. At least that was what he thought. He knew that the humans had a tendency for evil things as well.
As he made his way to his patrol area, his black hair and his clothing was blowing in the light breeze that was coming. His swords clinked together with each step. He enjoyed his foot patrol usually because he could watch the humans go about their lives and he would try to remember his previous life. Only some of the humans knew him by name but he was working on his skills as a samurai to be able to protect them. He wasn't concerned whether everyone knew his name.
Once he arrived at the demonic section of the world, he sighed and began his patrol. It didn't take long for the demons to realize what he was and he was getting scowls as he passed through on his beat.
After making a single complete round through the village, he had made it back to the beginning, where he started. It was then and there that a few things happened at once. One, multiple doors bursted open. Two, demons with swords appeared from each, each with a fanged smile on their face.
"You know your kind are not welcome here angel. Yet you are bold enough to come here alone. We are sick of being babysat. We are bored and hungry and after we kill you, we are going to start on each human village, one by one." one of them stated.
Yukimora frowned at the demons statement. He turned to the speaking demon and drew his nodachi.
"You wild beasts must learn your place. Perhaps I shall teach you stray pups your lesson." he replied calmly.
The demons began circling and growling at the undead samurai. Then, without warning, three of them jumped, all of them attempting a vertical falling slash.
The angel brought his sword to the same side as his sheath as if preparing a horizontal slash. Once the three demons had fallen close enough, he spun around rapidly as a tornado and slashed all three in half. He then swung his sword in front of himself to swing away the loose, wet blood so his blade wouldn't rust.
He mumbled, "Low class garbage."
Of course the demons overheard and the next three began circling again. This time they were going to be more cautious. Then one by one, they rushed him on the ground. Not wanting to get surrounded, once the demons were close enough to one another and him, he jumped back at great speed and then pointed his sword tip at them.
"I pray for strength to protect the innocent and to destroy the evil before me. Amen."
At those words, a bright, glowing sphere of energy began to grow at the tip of his blade. At the word amen, it launched itself and disintigrated the final three demons til there was not a trace left but their swords.
He sighed at the result of the battle. Hopefully nothing else would attack him today since he was still considered new in the angelic samurai group. He couldn't use his holy energy more than once a day. He sheathed his sword and resumed his patrol duties.
